What’s the difference between running your business and your life? You can't run your personal life like a business. In business, you can go home and detach, but in your personal life, things are constantly changing. People who try to run their lives like a business often have control issues and become more anxious when things don’t go as planned. Sometimes you just have to roll with it and move on to the next thing.
Is it a good idea to focus on one goal at a time? When it comes to personal goals, it's unrealistic to be singularly focused. Someone can be skillful, but if they don't fit the culture, they can be toxic. I use a test called a “Culture Index” to help match people to the right roles based on their personality and how they handle stress.
